Mentor Program

GENERAL PROGRAM OVERVIEW

NYSSEA Mentorship Program

Guiding the Next Generation of Enrolled Agents

The NYSSEA Mentorship Program was established to support new members as they begin their journey as Enrolled Agents and active participants within NYSSEA.

The program connects experienced professionals with newer members seeking guidance, support, and industry insight. Through meaningful mentor-mentee relationships, participants can strengthen professional skills, expand their networks, and build confidence navigating the tax profession.

Program Objectives

  • Support professional growth and development
  • Foster meaningful industry connections
  • Encourage knowledge-sharing among members
  • Provide guidance navigating the profession
  • Strengthen engagement within the NYSSEA community

How the Program Works

Participants complete an application outlining their background, experience level, interests, and goals. Based on responses, mentors and mentees are thoughtfully paired to encourage a productive and supportive relationship.

Once matched, mentors and mentees determine the communication style and meeting schedule that best fits their needs.
