NYSSEA is proud to acknowledge our members and supporters for their hard work and dedication to the industry and NYSSEA. We invite all members to submit nominations for our awards and scholarship programs. The awards deadline is annually on September 15th and the Scholarship Deadline is July 31.

NYSSEA Founders Award
The purpose of the Founders Award is to recognize significant leadership and contributions that have immediate or long-term impacts on the growth and progress of the association. The Founder's Award is presented annually at the NYSSEA Conference.

The purpose of the Robert Nadel Above and Beyond Award is to recognize the significant contributions of members above and beyond the normal responsibilities of the New York State Society of Enrolled Agents. The Robert Nadel Above and Beyond Award is presented annually at the NYSSEA Conference.

NYSSEA Excellence in Public Awareness Award
Established 2012
The purpose of the Excellence in Public Awareness Award is to recognize significant contributions having immediate and/or long-term impact on making “Enrolled Agents” and “EA” more readily recognized in the state of New York as the tax professional of choice. The Excellence in Public Awareness Award is presented annually at the NYSSEA Conference.

NYSSEA Scholarship
The NYSSEA Scholarship Committee annually awards scholarships of up to $500 to NYSSEA members to further their education. The Scholarship may be used to attend the NYSSEA Annual Conference, the NAEA Annual Conference (including NTPI), or the NAEA Leadership Academy (SSLA). NOTE: Effective 6/1/2026, NYSSEA Members can now apply for a second scholarship.
The annual Deadline for the Scholarship Application is July 31.
